David cameron made a speech on good immigration,is this not all smoke and mirrors and hot air?

Immigration cannot be controlled by the British government since the signing of the treaty of Amsterdam and latterly the Lisbon treaty that basically abolished the British state since early 2009,we live in an E.U superstate where there is a free movement of people in the European economic block,and we have igration from outwith the E.U forced upon us by the E.U. David cameron is pandering to get votes (electioneering) in the upcomig elections & knows fully well there is n othing that can be done about the immigration crisis in the U.K. well besides pulling out of the E.U. Why do these politicians keep up this charade?
