Do you think I could?

Do you think I could try to convince my mom to let me get a supervised apartment? I'm 26 I've been living at home all my life. I have wanted to be on my own for a very long time. I do have epilepsy that's under control. I am the only child my mom has trouble letting go of me. I can still have my own place and still help her with things. I don't know why it's so hard for her to understand I want my independence. I"m not living with her forever. I do have a job. Would I need SSI for a supervised apartment? My boyfriend has a supervised apartment he has SSI. He has disabilities he's on his own. I have disabilities too. People with disabilities are on their own. I want to either have a supervised apartment or live with a roommate. I don't have enough money for it. Is there any way I can be out of my mom's house even if I have a job that has little money? I'm not staying there till I'm 30 or 28. My mom can sometimes be very protective. She can make decisions for me sometimes. I love her and appreciate her I want to be on my own.
