A restaraunt refusing legal tender, after I had eaten my meal! What could they do?

Im in America but I would think that legal tender is legal tender everywhere.. A business establishment is responsible for making sure that they have enough change for their customers.. Its a normal part of doing business. You should have stood your ground and told them the L50 was all you had and let them figure it out.
