I had brain surgery in March 2011 and it is affecting "other" areas of my life....is this normal?

So I had brain surgery in March 2011 to remove a walnut-sized chunk of my right temporal lobe in order to correct my adult onset epilepsy, and so far it's been working. The problem is, whenever my husband and I engage in sexual foreplay, my whole left arm starts jerking uncontrollably (kind of like muscle spasms) and it's really weird. This did not happen at all before my surgery, and it's only on the one side. Does anybody have any explanation of what is going on? I would ask my neurologist, but that would be one heck of an awkward conversation. Thanks!
