Why is British Royalty allowed to exist when millions of Native Brits live in absolute poverty?

There will always be the very rich and the very poor. The main problem now is that are there fewer and fewer people in the middle which creates the sort of animosity that you have. I'm American and see the British monarchy as a symbol of British history, culture and tradition. Be glad you are actually a democracy and that they don't have much real power in the scheme of things! You could always come to America and be just as impoverished without the Royalty. I don't think it matters much. I believe that being filthy rich is not a sin but with it comes responsibility to help your fellow man. Many of them do not agree and continue to bathe themselves in luxuries. Disgusting.
