About seizures? Please, I'm curious!?

So if you have undiagnosed absence seizures that people definitely notice (My parents are both doctors and they say I have it), then if you go to the doctor and they do a EEG, what if it comes back completely normal? Can they still say you have it even if it doesn't show up? Where do they go from there? Is it possible that all the tests they do are normal? Then what? When do you have to wear that bracelet that says you have epilepsy? I think that would be embarrassing to wear around.
