Has anyone had brain surgery for epilepsy?

My meds arent' working. I got upped to 1000 keppra in am and 1000 keppra in pm. Plus 400 tegretol in am and 400 tegretol in pm. I'm totally stoned from it and I hate this feeling. I'm not sure if i should just enjoy it since people go out of their way to feel this way. But its weird to me. Anyhow, my doctor said since medicine doesnt work for me He wants me to do a 3 day eeg. That way, they can isolate where my brain is misfiring. If its a part of the brain thats safe to remove, we can remove it and I wont need medicine again and I wont have seizures anymore. I have a couple questions. First, what if I just so happen to not have seizures those 3 days? Or do they do the thing that they induce seizures with the blinking lights and such? In my regular eeg i just had one seizure after the other so I'm guessing they must make you have one or I'm in really bad shape...lol...also, has anyone had success? How risky is it? And most importantly, will they shave my entire head?
