What to do with my relationship?

me and my boyfriend have been going out for 2 weeks and we never hangout, all we do is text for only an hour and than he randomly just stops replying. than i told him our relationship wasnt starting off good. and than he said we should take a break while i go on my vacation to hawaii for 2 weeks. did he only say that so he can do stuff with other girls while im out of state? what could i do to make this better?
