Did she like me or did I get played?

So I met this girl on vacation and right away we both were interested in eachother, we went on a walk and talked alot one on one. Next day she texts me first to go to the beach. We have a good time and she even gives me her bracelet and says to wear it to help me think about her. That night we hangout out on the beach and when I try to go on a walk with her she says she can't because she got in trouble and can't leave the area around her hotel. I knew this was a lie but didnt say anything. Sadly, I started to actually like this girl but anytime I tried to make a move on her, she backed out. Basically, I got played into actually liking this girl. What the hell happened? Why would she treat me so specially but not do anything? And btw she wasn't a virgin so it wasn't because she was prude
