Did House Republicans actually do a huge favor for NPR with their little charade?

I detest typical talk radio. It takes subjects out of context and appeals to only those with axes to grind. NPR provides a lot of programming beyond news, from Car Talk to Only a Game, some of the best intelligent radio shows are on NPR. NPR also provides the most in depth reporting of any news network. If you really want both sides of an issue, NPR delivers. The more publicity NPR gets, the more people will tune in and listen.
