My friend thinks he has an Elf Spirit, help?

My friend believes he has an elf spirit, as in he is a human but has elf powers and stuff. He thinks he has secret meetings with Freya (Norse goddess) and transforms into a cat at these meetings. He said there are a number of other people who are elves who came with him but he's special because he's super old and on a council... I dunno what I should do. I don't want to dismiss it and hurt his feelings but I dunno if I can keep up with the charade...
