Alright so this guy and I met and we kind of hit it off, we started texting constantly and then he invited me to hangout and said he had a surprise. He took me to his house and he had this whole little living room picnic set up and it was adorable. We started watching a scary movie and his arm was around me and all that, but then we decided to go for a walk. Anyways that was going good, but then when he walking me home, he started getting kinda quiet. He walked me all the way to my front door and then we hugged good bye, and he was like "have a nice rest of the day" (it was like 7:30) and then he waited for me to go inside and he just left. I texted him awhile later saying that the picnic was really sweet, and thanks. and he texted back "hahaha no problem :) " He's a bit older than me and he's never really quiet, so I was confused. We haven't texted since, so can anyone tell me what might of been on his mind?

I'm in a situation where I can legally move outta my house in about 5-6 months. Bc I'll be 17. And me and my dad don't exactly get along all that great. We butt heads like no other.and my mom says its bc we're so much alike, but even if that's the truth, I can't take all the fighting and arguing anymore. Like right now, he says he can't trust me enough to hangout with people my own age. Like wtff? Who am I supposed to hangout with then? I guess nobody. Yelling, screaming, cursing. The list goes on and on. And I just can't take being treated like that anymore. Especially this lowe to the end of high school when I'm trying to get into a reallllly big college. And my mom won't do anything about it. They were supposed to get divorced like a month ago but she let him come back. And I was pissed as hell about that and she knew it. But they tried to put a guilt trip on me saying, "you don't give up on your family. You don't just walk away."

How do i help my chihuahua with seizures?

First off I would find a new vet. Your dog probably is epileptic. Seizures are often aggravated by stress which may be why the cage plays a factor. There are great epilepsy drugs that a vet can give you that will greatly reduce and even stop seizures. Also the vet can give you a shot(I forgot what it is called) that you can administer at the time of the seizure to help ease it. If the seizure goes on for five minutes or longer the dog needs to immediately see a vet. Also when you notice a seizure is occurring make sure your dog is on the ground, on top of blankets if possibly with nothing nearby that the dog can hit its head on. Good luck.

Why do I want to cut myself...? HELP PLEASE?

For the past few years some bad things have happened. My dad was sent to the hospital for two years because he had clinical depression, then I found out I had epilepsy and it's been very hard to deal with, after that my sister had a bad head injury, then my brother got hit by a car and barely survived, then I was bullied badly at school and it still haunts me, and recently I was diagnosed with depression. I have no one...seriously NO ONE to talk to besides my family. And I'm home alone right now so I really have no one. My boyfriend and I are pretty close but things have been bad between us for about a week, and now he doesn't even want to talk to me. I feel so hopeless. I was getting so down about things a few minutes ago that I actually took a knife (not that sharp) out of the drawer and used it to put a small slit in my wrist..but it wasn't enough to draw blood. Help me please what can I do?

My Stepson writes to his biological father all the time. He reads the draft to me before he sends it, but in the beginning his father never responded. I usually just see my boyfriend two days a week and since i live right beside my mom and step dad I go hang out with my mom all the other days. Question regarding epilepsy?

I have temporal lobe epilepsy and often experience E.S.P. I have proven this to be a fact by being knowing in advance by two or three days that something major is going to happen. Me and two friends are going to Kanrocksas. One of my friends (A) already lives in KC, my other friend (B) lives in Denver. B and I are both flying to KC. Why would my doctor perscribe me Gabapentin for a moving knee cap?

I have been having problems with my knee for a few months now. I went to the doctors a few weeks ago and they told me that it was the muscle and they gave me codene and put me on a waiting list for physio. When the codene was not working and the pain was getting worse I went back to the doctors and was told that my knee cap was moving as my thigh muscle was not strong enough to keep it in place. She gave me Gabapentin which when I got home I read up about them and they are used to treat Epilepsy. Why would my doctor give me these? Also is it likely that this is going to get any better or am I going to be stuck with it?

okay so here it is, me and my ex dated for almost a year. Have you had a puppy that had seizures?

My puppy is 12 weeks old is having partial seizures. I took her to the vet last night, and the DR is afraid she is too young to go on meds for epilepsy. She wants me to take her to a neurologist to see if he has a better solution. Has anyone else had a puppy that has seizures? What was the result? What did your DR say? BTW my puppy is a King Charles Cavalier and I've only had her for 3 weeks... Friends have said I should ask the breeder for my money back as well. What do you think?

What should i do about this girl who sort of played me?

So i have known this girl since elementary school, and we became really good friends. In middle school we found out we had alot in common. She is cute and has a great personality and from what my friends have told me, a great match for me. So towards the end of eighth grade, we began to get closer. She tells me that she is over her ex, and i heard from her friends that she really liked me, so i ask her out. So i get a call from her saying her answer is yes. We only had a few days of school left and she still had not decided. This lasted a few days into summer break, until about two days ago. She wanted to wait until school started back up for us to date, which i didnt really have a problem with at first, we could hangout during the summer and have fun. Jealousy in a relationship?!?

I've been with my parnter more over half a year now. Weve gotten very close, but my partners jelousy is getting out of hand. Why did I wake up on the floor?

Basically, I got out of bed, and I had been awake for ages. I walked to the bathroom and I felt head-rush, but I kept walking to see if it would go away. I got to the bathroom, struggled to stand up and tried to lock the door. I remember hearing banging noises and then I woke up on the floor, in a foetal position, with my feet against the shower and my back against the radiator. I said 'ow, not again' as this has happened twice. I had to stay there to let the head-rush headache go away, and I stood up, and now I'm completley fine. I don't remember anything - all i remember is walking to the bathroom, trying to lock the door, hearing noises and waking up. I dont understand how i could have got into the foetal position within seconds - well that's what it felt like. My body banged against the walls and i heard the banging, it sounded really loud. I told my mum and she's worried, she thinks I might have had an epileptic fit (i used to have epilepsy when i was younger). She said if it happens again she'll take me to a doctor, but I'm really scared now. Please can someone tell me what happend, why this happened etc. thank you.

Could i have a brain tumour...?

I got diagnosed with epilesy 3 years ago now, ive got huge headaches and the neurologist has told me i have to change medication as that is whats causing the headaches which i thought was weird because i never got headache until about 6 months ago.. i keep getting auras but not fully going into a fit. I HAVE NOT had a seizure size ive been on medication so thats 3 years, so, is there any chance that i could have a brain tumour that caused the epilepsy and is now getting bigger causing headaches but no more fits?!?!?!

Skin allergies and natural solutions.?

My elderly dog is suffering from severe skin allergies- his skin is flaking badly and he is itching constantly. The only recommendation from the vet is a pricey and dangerous steroid cream, and I want to know if anyone has a natural solution to help ease his itchiness that would be non- stressful or dangerous for him. (He has epilepsy and seizures are triggered if he is stressed, s it's difficult to bathe him on a weekly basis in oatmeal water, which was the other recommendation) I would appreciate any help, as his condition is getting worse and I can't stand to see him scratch his skin off!

Goodness if head injuries occured with a fall of that calibre my son would be dead. He trips and smacks his head on the floor at least once a day. He`s been walking a few months, but somehow hits his head on a regular basis. Unless his pupils are funny or he starts vomiting I wouldn`t worry.

About seizures? Please, I'm curious!?

So if you have undiagnosed absence seizures that people definitely notice (My parents are both doctors and they say I have it), then if you go to the doctor and they do a EEG, what if it comes back completely normal? How do you know when dog has fracture or pulled muscle or tore ligament in legs?

Hello I have a 9yr. old dog who just fell 3 days ago. He fell on some stairs. He was going downstairs and slipped and hurt himself really bad. He cried so much. I rubbed him, but he is still in pain. I've been carrying him up and down the stairs. What we notice is that he walks very slowly and he doesn't want to put pressure on his back right leg and sometimes the front right leg. It seems like he's hovering the back part of his back by his legs. And he seems to walk with his legs stiffly together not relaxed. When I pick him up, I pick him up from his belly that way he doesn't put pressure on his back legs. The vet gave me Rimdayl and Tramadol hcl. My dog is on Phenobarbitol and potassium bromide (for epilepsy-he has not had any seizures in 8 months thank God) and Denamarin for his liver. His liver enzymes are somewhat higher than normal. I would say today he is in more pain than yesterday. When he's laying down, I can see that he is trembling. His legs are trembling. What does this mean? We haven't done xray yet because doctor said if he can walk on his legs there must be no fractured bone. We have touched his legs and he doesn't cry. Of course I have not put any pressure on them. When he fell, it's like he slid on his belly and tried to stop with his legs. The steps are cement so you can just imagine. I honestly don't know what to do. I know he's in pain. How do you know when the dog has a fracture or pulled muscle or torn ligament? What are the symptoms? How long does it take for the pain medication to work? My doc weighs 24lbs. and with his liver problem the vet gave me a minimum amount of meds. Rimadyl 50mg once a day and Tramadol 25mg. twice a day. Does anyone know if this is ok? My meds arent' working. I got upped to 1000 keppra in am and 1000 keppra in pm. Plus 400 tegretol in am and 400 tegretol in pm. I'm totally stoned from it and I hate this feeling. I'm not sure if i should just enjoy it since people go out of their way to feel this way. But its weird to me. Anyhow, my doctor said since medicine doesnt work for me He wants me to do a 3 day eeg. That way, they can isolate where my brain is misfiring. If its a part of the brain thats safe to remove, we can remove it and I wont need medicine again and I wont have seizures anymore. I have a couple questions. First, what if I just so happen to not have seizures those 3 days? Or do they do the thing that they induce seizures with the blinking lights and such? In my regular eeg i just had one seizure after the other so I'm guessing they must make you have one or I'm in really bad shape...lol...also, has anyone had success? How risky is it? And most importantly, will they shave my entire head?

It's not good to take anything without the advice of a doctor or pharmacist. Look up the medication you take with "vitamin deficiencies" and see if it causes any. I take Keppra and it sucks up all of my vitamin D. Sometimes they can give me wierd cravings too. Seizures, I've heard, act on the sodium channels of the brain, so that could be your salt cravings. Again, ask a doc! :-) Good luck.

I am writing on behalf of my cousin who lives in Russia. She is asking for assistance for her son, who was diagnosed with Meningitis, Hydrocephalus(water on the brain),Epilepsy when he was 19 months old. Now he is 28. I have epilepsy can I be prescribed marijuana?

I only get seizures in my sleep and I'm always unaware of when one will occur. My medication fails once in a while and I end up on a hospital bed and receive a $5000 medical bill. My medication (oxycarbomezapine) gives me side affects such as insomnia, depression, and nausea every day. I've switched doses and medications three times each and none were any better than the other. I've never had a seizure or felt any side effects of my meds on any of the days I have consumed marijuana. I fear that my epilepsy is getting worse because I've had seizures more often this year and that I'm going to have a complicated life in my future. Now epilepsy and seizure disorders such as mine is listed under New Jersey medical marijuana laws so techniquely I qualify for a liscense but my doctor won't give me any recommendation of his and I don't know where to start. Is it even possible for me to have marijuana prescribed? Please help

Epilepsy CAN do that, but this can also be an affect of a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). I would have him go to the neurologist and ask for an MRI to check for damage to the speech sections of the brain. He could be experiencing a form of aphasia.

My 12 year old daughter talks to herself?

My 12 year old daughter is constantly talking to herself. It is as if she is having a conversation with other people. Sometimes she is so entranced in these "illusions" that she doesn't notice anyone around her. When I ask who she is talking with she says she is just pretending that she is in different situations, eg: that she lots of friends around and they are playing. It seems as if she does this far too often, maybe 20-30 times a day. The teachers haven't noticed this at school but when I asked her she said that she does do this at school and everyone else does too. I am concerned and I will be scheduling an appointment with a doctor. Does someone have any insight as to what I might expect? Note: Not sure if this is relevant but, my 3 year old son has just been diagnosed with Epilepsy from a frontal lobe abnormality.

This summer has been a bore and I had nothing to do. So I was on facebook alot and everybody keeps talking about fake profiles and I thought it was funny. Then the next day from the time I got up till 1 in the morning we were iming each other for over 13 hours straight. You would think we would run out of topics to talk about. What it really looks like is that it's a charade and democrats play the "nice" left and Republicans play the "tough" right but no one is really there to change anything if it doesn't benefit Wall Street. So why do we let those two party's OWN US. If we had Instant Run-Off Voting (IRV) and threw both parties out the USA would have a better opportunity to create sustainable Peace and Prosperity. Seems to me when Democrats cave, capitulate, Can't and Tried, that's not really the case, they just want US to think they're not in bed with Republicans behind closed doors and both get funding from the same sources. Should I tell my parents that i'm not a christian?

I live with two religious Lutheran parents, and with easter coming up, im not sure i can keep up my charade for much longer. This summer has been a bore and I had nothing to do. So I was on facebook alot and everybody keeps talking about fake profiles and I thought it was funny. That won't work. Get a benzo from the doctor. It will work for both epilepsy and depression. Personally, I like valium for both. (I don't have epilepsy, but I do have essential tremor, and it works for that too.)

My 12 year old daughter talks to herself?

My 12 year old daughter is constantly talking to herself. It is as if she is having a conversation with other people. Sometimes she is so entranced in these "illusions" that she doesn't notice anyone around her. When I ask who she is talking with she says she is just pretending that she is in different situations, eg: that she lots of friends around and they are playing. It seems as if she does this far too often, maybe 20-30 times a day. The teachers haven't noticed this at school but when I asked her she said that she does do this at school and everyone else does too. Your actual storyline is quite good and it's an imaginative concept but you'd need to write it so it doesn't sound so storyboard like. It seems your running through events too quickly and you should really explore all the emotion behind each action and make it more realistic so that readers can relate. I am also trying to write a book at the moment and although your plot is complex and intriguing it isn't the sort of thing that would catch my eye. I would pro bally write it off as boring from the back so you'd need to include more aspects of other topics to keep a wider target audience - i.e. romance or family. I completely understand that is not the genre of your book and I appreciate how trying it can be to find a good story idea but I'd stick with your idea if elabourate a bit more. Hope this has been of some help but if it hasn't then what the hell. One more opinion can't hurt.

We met about 2 weeks ago and she's coming out of relationship from about 5 weeks ago and says she isn't over her ex. However she always text me and always wants to hangout. I know she thinks im attractive... Her and i flirt and are touchy with each other and honestly it seems like she is interested in me but im not sure and i don't want to assume anything. Of course i like her but shes said to me im so glad were friends and that we've met ... i know im not her best guy friend but when first meeting each other you start out as friends. she asked if i wanted to go to a community church worship thing on sunday with her and of course i said yes but it doesn't seem like something you'd ask a guy friend to go to... im not sure.i know better than to try and get someone whose coming out of a relationship into another one or even like someone but i really like her... Does it seem like she may like me? Does she seem interested in me? Should i tell her i like her? I've already told her ill always be there for her if she ever wants to talk about her last relationship or even anything.

My two friends, Angela and April r best friends, never be broken, thick as thieves, blah blah blah. The only problem is that Angela likes me. She never goes anywhere without April. April steals angelas attention. After 5 or 6 awkward hangouts, I told Angela that I did t have feelings for her anymore (met her in December). April said I hurt Angela. I really want to be friends with them, but I don't want it to be awkward anymore. Any tips? How (or if) to stay friends with them?

so 2 of my best friends recently started dating and i kinda feel left out....before they started dating the three of us were tight, we would call each other out and hangout all the time even if our other friends can't come the three of us would still be together having fun. But now after the two of them started dating i hardly see them anymore. I understand they want privacy when they are going on a date and i don't try to be the third wheel or anything but even when they are not on a date and just wants to hangout they wouldn't call me out anymore even though knowing i'm not doing anything at home. now the only times i see them is when everyone in our friend circle is planning to party or doing something. neither of them would call me up when they are bored to hang anymore. is this situation normal? should i just suck it up and accept it?

My friend believes he has an elf spirit, as in he is a human but has elf powers and stuff. He thinks he has secret meetings with Freya (Norse goddess) and transforms into a cat at these meetings. He said there are a number of other people who are elves who came with him but he's special because he's super old and on a council... I dunno what I should do. Help with sons diagnosis?

My 2.5 half year old was just diagnosed with Epilepsy. He has 4 episodes spanning from the age 9 months up until yesterday, with two in the last two weeks. He is currently on an anti -seizure drug twice a day. I know this isn't the right spot, but I was just hoping to get support from other moms who may be going through the same thing. I am scared for him. I just don't know what to do.

So me and my first boyfriend who i was with for 11months broke up my freshmen year but always had feelings for each other since. Its going on 3 years since we've been together but we have talked about our past many times. We have had other bf;s and gf's since each other and we have almost got back together many times. I just recently got out of a 2 year relationship And I do not want a relationship and neither does he, I ended up sleeping as his house and we cuddled and the next day decided to be friends with benefits. Emily, You have some kind of sleep disorder and the only way to tell by having a sleep study done in a sleep lab. Okay, so my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 3 years, and he is so amazing! He just graduted from highschool and I have one more year to go before I do. Anyways, we went to a grad party for one of his friends that goes to a different highschool, along with some more friends, my bf has known them all since middle school. Their pretty cool and I've grown to know them well. Last summer I met one of his friends at our usual parties, I didnt think much of him at first, but through out the summer, Id see him at all the group hangouts and he was always nice and really funny, and we had some things in common, and out of all my bf's friends, he was the one I got along with the most and he actually pays attention to me. So by the end of the summer, I realized that I sort of liked him, and I always got excited when ever he talked to me. Then I wouldnt see him for like 4 months and Id get over the feeling and focus on my boyfriend, who two years ago, went through the same thing Im going through and cheated on me, I forgave him and we are past it now and really close, but then this summer rolled around, and I saw him again, and now I cant get him off my mind. Things are running dry with my boyfriend, Im never interested in kissing or anything sexual, and i feel like an asshole because Ive liked his friend for almost a year. If I broke up with him, I dont know what would happen, things would be so differnt, and Im not sure if this other guy likes me because I dont see him or talked to him, and I keep wondering if he feels the same way. Everyone thinks my bf and i are ment to be and are gonna get married, and Im too busy thinking about his friend! Im so confused, I feel like horrible! Is there something wrong with me? How to get over your first love?

Junior year of highschool I began a relationship with my ex. We dated for 2 and a half years and he was my number 1. I cared so much for him, did everything for him, he was my bestfriend. We had our ups and downs and fights and at the end of the relationship he started to change. He put his friends first. In my mind I had the same thing going on, I was moved away from home, I didn't think I wanted a relationship and was always curious about talking to other people. One day we mutually broke up, but he was the one to bring it up. After that he texted me and wanted to still be friends but not be together. We've been broken up for 4 months. The hardest 4 months of my life. We have hung out atleast once or twice every other week. Hooked up, had sex, kissed goodbye, just in hopes that maybe I could get him back. I still love him so much, but he tells me he doesn't want a girlfriend, he wants me to move on, he wants to talk to other girls and he wants me to move on. But I really still am in love with him, I really hoped that we would get back together bc he is so important to me. He was my rock. And for him to say those things to me literally crushed me. I can't even eat and it makes me sick to my stomach that my boyfriend, my bestfriend, my lover doesn't even want to be with me anymore. We've grown so much together and I truely would love to still be with him and have him in my life again. I saw him at a concert and he didn't want to even hangout with me. I got really depressed and couldn't stop crying, what he said hurt me so much. I wanted to say my last goodbye to him today, but he didn't text me back. So I sent him a long text telling him how much I still love and care for him. But I respect his decisions and this is what he really wants, so I have to move on. It was so hard to tell him bye, even in just a text. I can't even imagine not having him. The longest we haven't talked was 2 weeks. I really want him to miss me and want me back. I hope he realizes his loss

Epilepsy and relationships?

Ya once my ex spent my 30 grand back pay after a 16 year relationship she had me serves some bull crap papers at work that said I couldn't go back home. I ended up being homeless sleeping in a storage unit. Epilepsy sucks sometimes but there is something we are supposed to learn huh?

Suicide, is it for me?

I'm 21, have little money to my name, and am slowly slipping into an overwhelming state of anxiety. This is due college class work stacking up, medical bills, and the lack of zeal in my life. People, namely my family and friends, have told me, "Things will look up," or, "Try doing something that will cheer yourself up." But nothing cheers me up anymore. My younger brother is the only person who is straight with me, while the rest of my family gives me the same recycled "do your best...mind over matter...hang in there baby" crap that has been fed to me by therapists for years. I just find it hard to look at the positive when my life is a walking failure. My grades are never spectacular or noteworthy. If I were to die I wouldn't be the most missed person out there. I kind of blend into the background, bland and uninteresting, with no desire to keep up the charade that I'll make something of myself someday or be somebody of worth. On the stage of life, I am the extra to the drama of others, only moving to convey a sense of community, a certified space filler. I don't matter. Not to me. Not to anyone.

Preventing and helping with seizures?

last year i hit my head and it caused a brain hemorrhage which almost cost me my life. In the hospital i had two seizures. It has been a year and no seizure, but I had a bad seizure just the other day while washing vegetables. I was under a lot of stress that day had my mother not been there, it more than likely would have been worse. My grandfather has epilepsy and before his seizures he says he tastes silver, i tasted nothing. all i felt was just very peaceful before the seizure. could i be developing some sort of disorder like my grandfather or is this just a fluke. if this was not a fluke what could i do to prevent seizures in the future and anything that could cause them like stress maybe. and if there is a way to protect myself from damaging myself because during this last seizure i had i bit my tongue severely and hurt my leg badly. are video games a problem right now.
